We are all suckers for some delicious dumplings (and if you say you’re not then you’re lying) and where better to get them than the new and improved New Flavour. Located in dumpling central Dominion Road, there is plenty of competition for the re-established eatery, but trust us, you’ll only have eyes for New flavour’s brand spanking menu.

After relaunching in April, there has been some big changes made to the Chinese restaurant, not only is the decor slick and subtle, but the menu has been condensed down to a single page of their best 30 dishes, so that you don’t get overwhelmed by their extensive menu. Don’t worry, all your fave dishes are still available, in fact there is still over 200 dishes to choose from, so you’ll be spoilt for choice.

I opted for dumplings, of course, but not just any old dumplings, they came on a sizzling hot plate that kept the delicate parcels heated and fresh, while the scrambled egg bedding gave the dish an added twist. Whether you like your dumplings boiled or fried or engulfed in a steamy broth, New Flavour has got your taste buds covered.

If dumplings aren’t your thing, then there are plenty of other options to choose from. Try their array of pancake dishes or skip straight to dessert with the taro in hot toffee, it’s sure to hit that sweet spot.

Whether you’re eating to go, with a friend or a group – New Flavour caters for all and with the BYO drink option, you’ve got plenty more dollar to spend on food!
