Silvereye is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded two 2019 International Association of Business Communications (IABC) Gold Quill Awards for the Audio/Visual projects we developed last year. This is an international competition with some outstanding global entrants, and we are so proud of the hard work from our team and the amazing people at Orly for pulling together these two video campaigns.

For our work with the Wellington Free Ambulance, our educational video Isobel’s Overnight Bag received an Award of Excellence.

Wellington Free Ambulance (WFA) is a charitable trust providing free services to patients within Greater Wellington. With just over 300 staff they handle around 115,000 calls a year and respond to nearly 60,000 emergencies.

Like many ambulance services, WFA is facing a changing patient demographic. Growing numbers of single elderly people living in high-density residential accommodation with complex health needs are challenging ambulance service operations. To illustrate this, and to highlight the importance of patient experience, Wellington Free Ambulance commissioned Silvereye to produce a video based on a real patient story.

Silvereye worked with the client to produce a brief, write the script, project manage the production and oversee delivery of the video on budget and in time for the Council of Ambulance Authorities Congress 2018 which took place in Auckland in August 2018.

Initially the video helped the WFA create an engaging and impactful presentation that was quite technical in nature. Today, the video is being used to train paramedics at Wellington Free Ambulance, giving it longevity beyond the conference for a lasting impact.

Silvereye was also recognised with an Award of Merit for our work telling New Zealand’s water story with Cloud Ocean Estate.

Silvereye worked with Cloud Ocean to produce an awareness-raising video to provide context to the New Zealand water story and Cloud Ocean’s small role within it. This video contributed to our wider work dispelling the myths around Cloud Ocean Water’s bottling operations.
