Bank of China NZ Ltd facilitates Trilogy deal

Seamless support for trade between New Zealand and China

Bank of China is pleased to have supported CITIC Capital’s successful acquisition of Trilogy International Limited.

The New Zealand and Macau branches of the Bank of China jointly arranged and provided the syndicated debt facilities for the acquisition, with the New Zealand office as Agent. Anderson Lloyd served as legal counsel to Bank of China.

Trilogy International is a cultivator of essential natural products and home fragrance brands including their flagship brand Trilogy, ECOYA, and Goodness, in New Zealand and around the world.

“Bank of China is focused on facilitating trade and investment flows between New Zealand and China.  This transaction is an important strategic milestone as this is the first provision of acquisition facilities the Bank solely arranged in the NZ corporate market,” said Bank of China (NZ) CEO, David Wang.

“The joint work of the two branches of the Bank demonstrates our ability to leverage our global network to provide seamless support for New Zealand companies looking to expand offshore.”

Bank of China looks forward to working closely with Trilogy International Limited as it grows its home markets in New Zealand and Australia, and expands globally.
